Advanced Hydroponics Silica contains a high-quality solution of silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is an indispensable building block for plant tissue. The solution is hydrolysed and absorbs easily. With this supplement, plants can grow stronger cell walls and epidermis, making them more resistant to infection and mildew. 

It also contains silicon in the form of highly concentrated orthosilicic acid (H₄SiO₄), which can be absorbed by leaves and roots. Silicon increases the plant's ability to absorb other nutrients like phosphorus, one of the most important elements in photosynthesis and energy storage.
