Root zone temperatures should always be lower than the temperature at the top of your plants, however, the tiles can reach temperatures of up to 70°C in the summer months. By insulating the pot from the hot ground, you can prevent excessive evaporation of water from the substrate, which is directly linked to the devastation of the root system due to extremely high temperatures.

By insulating the pot from the hot ground, your plants' yields increase rapidly, as the plant can absorb water and nutrients naturally, rather than just fighting for its own survival, which causes the medium to become salty and the plant to burn.

Use of the grid in hydroponic systems:
- bare roots bring with them many inconveniences such as fungal diseases or algae
- by placing the pots on the grate, you ensure that your roots will no longer grow up to the nutrient solution tank, but will stay where they are supposed to, in the pot
- at the same time, the root system will increase rapidly, because the roots that would normally go all the way into the nutrient solution will stop growing when exposed to ambient light and produce a more developed root system in the middle of the pot, increasing the absorption of nutrients from the growing medium.
