Product detailed description

Current batch: 05/2024 - Recommended expiry 05/2026

Beneficial fungus for plant protection against fungi in the form of a wettable powder. Its main active ingredient is a microscopic fungal organism (Oomyceta)Pythium oligandrum. The product does not attack the plants themselves, but only the fungus on them.

Due to the biological principle of action, plants cannot be overdosed with the product, so there is no need to worry when using more than the recommended amount of the product.

Details:
Pythium oligandrumAttacks phytopathogenic fungi by direct mycoparasitism. It decomposes their bodies (mycelia) and some reproductive organs (sclerotia) with the help of enzyme production.Pythium oligandrumis thus in an easier position to penetrate phytopathogenic fungi with its filaments, from which it extracts nutrients and uses them for its own nutrition. This process continues until the phytopathogenic fungus is completely sucked out and destroyed. In addition to this preventive effect, in symbiosis with the root system of treated plants, it produces a low molecular weight protein, oligandrin, which is also characterised by systemic and translaminar properties. This natural substance induces natural protection (resistance) in plants against foliar fungal diseases. This resistance manifests itself both actively, by limiting the germination of the pathogen spores and suppressing the growth of its mycelium, and passively, by thickening the cell walls of the treated plant.

Methods of application of Polyversum Biogarden:

Irrigation:
Irrigation with a 0.05% suspension of the product. This means 1 g of powder (about a teaspoon) per 2 litres of water. The dosage is approximately 5 ml of suspension per seedling. There is no danger if the dose is exceeded. The main purpose is to initially promote the growth of young plants and protect them from soil mycopathogens, induced resistance to potato blight.

Spraying:
Spray with a 0,05 % suspension, prepared in the same way as for watering. However, it is advisable to run the suspension through a filter (an older clean stocking is sufficient) to avoid possible clogging of the spray nozzles.

Soaking of seedlings/roots:
Soaking the root ball of seedlings with the prepared 0,05 % suspension just before planting (alternatively, the seedling trays can be soaked in the suspension).

Seed pickling:
5 grams is sufficient for 1 kg of seed. Just mix the seed with the product. It is intended to prevent sprouting.
