The Agrolite Dark Night is a high performance LED bulb with a specially designed filter that eliminates all wavelengths around 510nm, allowing it to work in greenhouses and grow boxes during darkness. The bulb allows humans to see in the dark and does not affect plant life cycles. Plants rich in chlorophyll absorb light at almost all wavelengths of the visible spectrum and reflect light only around 510nm (the green band) where they do not photosynthesise.
Disturbing the plant while it is "asleep" is not good and causes stress that can manifest itself in undesirable ways. One of these can be hermaphroditism and poor or unstable maturation over time. However, sometimes you need to look at plants during their dormant phase and Agrolite Dark Night will help you with just that.
