During Ebb&Flow (Flood and Drain) growing, the growing medium is periodically flooded (watered). During the watering process, the nutrient residues left after the last watering are dissolved. As a result, no deposits appear in the growing medium and there is no risk of overfertilisation due to the higher concentration of nutrient solution. If the watering cycle is chosen correctly, overwatering is virtually impossible with EBB Flow and the roots are always supplied with sufficient nutrients and oxygen. In fact, the volume of water that exceeds the holding capacity of the selected substrate immediately flows back into the reservoir through the holes. In order to prevent the drainage of waste, we recommend the use of a sieve, which can be found together with the waste screw and non-woven fabric in the Accessories category .
