Grodan manufactures an array of growing mats for vegetables (like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and eggplants) and decorative plants. 

The Grodan Gro tiny (1x1x1 cm) basalt rockwool cubes have amazing water retention and aeration at the same time and create the exact air-to-water ratio plants need. Its effects are most apparent in roots - they have enough space, air and water, so the plants develop extensive root systems. A good root system is the basis of plant health, especially when it comes to nutrient absorption and resistance.

The Grodan Gro cubes can have up to 50-55% of water. In practice, 10l of Grodan can hold about 5l of water.

The cubes are sold by volume (in litres). The price is per 1 litre of the 1x1x1 cm cubes.
