LED Grow Lights
LED grow lights are getting more and more popular in indoor growing. Due to the many advantages of this modern option, they are favoured both by beginners and experienced growers.
Compared to a classic HID lamp, they produce less heat, meaning they can be placed a lot closer to the plants. Installation is simple - hang them, plug them in and flip a switch. The more advanced types of LED lights allow you to directly set a specific colour temperature and regulate light intensity according to the current growth phase of your plants.
We can't deny that in comparison to HID lamps, LED lights are more expensive. However, they are incredibly energy-effective, which saves money in the long run. They also last much longer. For example, LED lights by Lumatek can shine for more than 60 000 hours. This light by Viparspectra can shine for a minimum of 100 000 hours, which is about twenty times longer than an HPS lamp.
TIP: If you're using an LED light, we recommend feeding the plants a supplement containing calcium or magnesium - or both at the same time. They simply grow so fast that they use up these elements far quicker than they normally would.
