The Lumatek 30W UV Supplemental Light LED Bar fits perfectly on the Lumatek Zeus fixtures. It produces UV-A and UV-B light for an additional boost during the flowering phase.

Adding UV light for the last part of the growth cycle improves the flavour, smell and quality of the resulting yield by increasing the terpene, oil and resin content. UV light reduces the need for chemical intervention during the flowering phase and prevents moulds and pest infestation. Plants exposed to UV-A and B light show increased resistance to stress and disease. UV light can increase the root mass and support branching with less stretching.

The LED bar is designed according to the latest research to provide the perfect amount of UV-A and UV-B light for plants in the flowering phase. The fixture doesn't produce UV-C radiation. A single bar can provide 2.2 kJ/day (12 hours) of UV-B energy and 518 kJ/day (12 hours) of UV-A output.

It's possible to use a separate power cable for each bar or daisy-link them. The cables are sold separately.

Recommendations for use:

The supplemental bar fits directly into a Lumatek ZEUS fixture, and it's not recommended to use them separately. Use the additional UV light once you shorten the photoperiod to 12 hours or less, at least 4 weeks before harvest. If you notice plant damage, move the light away from the canopy or shorten the photoperiod (turn the light on for a shorter time).

Be careful when operating the light. UV light can be harmful to humans. Turn the light off during installation and maintenance. If you can't turn the light off completely, cover all exposed skin (including face, neck, head and arms) with an opaque fabric. Wear protective glasses, closed-off shoes, long sleeves and pants.

Do not look directly into the light, as the UVB radiation from the light fixture can damage eyes and skin.

Do not restrict the airflow across the fixtures to avoid any heat build-up, which may drastically reduce the lifetime of your UV supplemental LED bars.

Do not put the UV Supplemental LED Bar in contact with any surface while still ON.
