A KCL storage solution is necessary for safely storing and maintaining the electrodes of pH meters. Using a storage solution can significantly lengthen the lifespan of the probe and help it stay accurate for a longer time. The electrode must stay damp. If the electrode dries, it may get damaged and start displaying inaccurate measurements. In the worst case, it could lose its ability to calibrate and stop working entirely.
