VF pH meter 2in1, pH and temperature measurement
Code: 30220Product detailed description
The VF pH meter 2in1, pH and temperature measurement is a pH tester specifically for the aquarium and hobby gardening market. The calibration procedure is very simple and quick. Deviation ± 0,01 pH and range 0,0 - 14,0 pH. pH meter comes in a package with protective cover, batteries, instructions and three calibration solutions.
How to use the pH meter:
- remove the protective cover, if crystals appear underneath, don't worry, this is normal with pH tester electrodes and the problem will disappear after cleaning HCL cleaning solution
- turn the pH meter on with the "ON/OFF" button and immerse the pH meter electrode in the liquid to be tested
- stir gently until the displayed value stabilizes and then read the pH value from the display
- after the measurement is finished, dry the electrode and wipe it with a cloth
- never let the electrode dry and immerse it in KCL storage solution
Technical parameters:
- pH measurement range - 0.0 to 14.0 pH
- measurement resolution - 0.01 pH
- measurement accuracy -± 0.01 pH (when calibrated to 4.01 pH; 6.86 pH; 9.18 pH) or ± 0.1 pH (only when calibrated to 6.86 pH)
- operating temperature - 0°C to 60°C
- relative humidity - < 95%
- calibration - electronic (two-point, three-point) - PH METER IS CALIBRATED FROM MANUFACTURING TO 3 CALIBRATION POINTS!
- dimensions - 15.5 x 3.1x 1.8 cm
- weight - 50g (100g with accessories)
- power supply - 2x 1.5V LR44 batteries (included)
- battery life - approx. 500 hours in operation (auto shut-off function)
pH meter calibration:
- Prepare 3 solutions (4.01 pH, 6.86 pH and 9.18 pH) or 2 solutions (4.01 pH and 6.86 pH), each using 250 ml of distilled water mixed with the solutions
- immerse the electrode in pH 6 solution,86 (at 25°C), stir gently and wait for the reading to settle (no change for 5 seconds)
- press the "CAL" (calibration) button for 5 seconds and release, wait until the display reads 6.86 pH and stops flashing
- clean the electrode in HCL and dry it (with a paper towel), then immerse the electrode in a solution of pH 4.01 (at 25°C), stir gently and wait until the reading stabilizes (no change for 5 seconds)
- press the "CAL" (calibration) button for 5 seconds and release it, wait until the display shows pH 4.01 and stops flashing
- clean the electrode in HCL and dry it (with a paper towel), then immerse the electrode in a solution of pH 9.18 (at 25°C), stir gently and wait until the reading stabilizes (no change for 5 seconds)
- press the "CAL" (calibration) button for 5 seconds and release it, wait, until the display reads pH 9.18 and stops flashing
- clean the electrode in HCL and dry it (with a paper towel), then place the meter back in the buffer solution and test the calibration (if the reading is incorrect, repeat the calibration)
- when calibrating with only two points, follow the instructions using pH 4.01 and pH 6.86 buffer solutions
Caution:
- do not touch the sensor electrode as deposits on the skin can damage the sensor and affect the readings
- do not immerse the meter in the solution above the immersion line to avoid damaging the circuitry (pH meter is not waterproof)
- recalibration is required after changing batteries or opening the battery compartment
- store the meter with a small amount of electrode storage liquid in the protective cap (if not, this may affect the accuracy of the measurement and the life of the meter)
- large variations in the measurement may be due to the need for calibration, a dry electrode or weak batteries
