Orca Liquid Mycorrhizae is an easy-to-use, all-in-one product that inoculates root zones with four strains of endomycorrhizal fungi and 11 strains of highly beneficial bacteria. They form a symbiotic relationship with plants, facilitating increased nutrient uptake, warding off pathogens and promoting plant health. Mother Nature has evolved these complex microbial systems over billions of years, and Orca facilitates the use of their biological properties to improve growth and yields in any system or growing medium.
Endomycorrhizal fungi:
- there are two types of beneficial fungi - endomycorrhizal and ectomycorrhizal
- endomycorrhizae live in the substrate around the roots
- ectomycorrhizae penetrate the root cells and have a closer symbiotic relationship with the plant
- endomycorrhizae are the most effective form of beneficial fungi for a classic indoor garden
- in nature, they tend to grow alongside vegetables, shrubs, flowers and fruit trees
- ectomycorrhizae are adapted for growing on conifers and oaks
Highly beneficial bacteria
- The 11 different forms of beneficial bacteria in Orca create a microbial ecosystem that defends the plant against pathogenic bacteria and fungi, preventing problems such as pythium, which can destroy an entire crop in an instant.
- A thriving culture of microbial organisms is one of the best defences - a gift from Mother Nature.
Usage:
- for growing in a substrate - 1ml per 4 litres of water
- for hydroponic cultivation - 5ml for every 20 litres of water (use every 2 weeks during the vegetative and flowering phase, ending 4 weeks before harvest)
- do not use it along with hydrogen peroxide, it will destroy the microbes before they can multiply
