How to use FERMBAG

Drying in FERMBAG is simple and fast. We show you step by step how to achieve optimal results.

1. Filling the bag with flowers
Fill the bag with freshly harvested, moisture-treated herb flowers and make sure they are evenly distributed. For optimal drying, there should be no more than 50g of flowers in the bag to allow the flowers to store freely.

2. Closing the bag
Close the FERMBAG tightly with a pulse welder, stapler or string. This prevents the entry of pests or fungal spores and protects the flowers from external influences.

3. Store the bag in a dark, ventilated and tempered place
Place the FERMBAG in a dark room with a temperature of 18-21°C to allow air to circulate from all sides, for example in nets or on racks. Also air circulation around the bag prevents mould and ensures optimal drying.

Important: Store the bag in a dark place at a dry temperature of 18-21 °C and a relative humidity of approximately 60 %. The bag should be well ventilated, possibly with a high air circulation rate, without the need for air conditioning. Make sure that no light is exposed to the bag as this may damage the flowers and reduce the active ingredients.

4. Daily weighing of the bag
Weigh FERMBAG daily and record the weight. Continue this process until no further weight loss is seen. This process usually takes 7 to 12 days. The flowers usually lose the most weight in the first few days, with the weight loss gradually decreasing.

Tip: If no weight loss is visible after more than three days, it may be helpful to fix the flowers in jars and allow them to mature. To do this, remove them from the bag and place them in the jars.

5. Enjoy the result
Remove the dried flowers from the FERMBAG and use them as you wish - whether you want to use them immediately or process them. Now you have a ready harvest with a high active content. Congratulations!
Tip: You can process the flowers directly or leave them to ripen in jars to improve their aroma and concentration of active ingredients.

6. Complete Solution
After drying, you can use the harvest immediately or leave it to continue ripening in the bag. The bag replaces jars and humidity pads - just make sure the room is not too dry or too humid. Patience pays off: the longer it takes to ripen, the better the result!
We recommend only opening the bag when you actually want to consume the flowers. During this time, the flowers will remain in the bag, continue to develop and be optimally protected from external influences. The controlled transparency of moisture speeds up the ripening process and makes it a very special experience.
