The DimLux Plant camera accurately measures the temperature of the leaves, even at the top branches of the plant. The information is necessary (along with the data about room temperature and humidity) for calculating the VPD (vapour-pressure deficit). VPD describes the potential of the surrounding atmosphere to remove water from plants through transpiration. 

The higher the VPD reading, the larger the pressure deficit (difference) between the plants and surrounding air.

• A high pressure deficit means that the plants are losing water
• A low pressure deficit means that the plants are holding water

When connected to the DimLux Maxi Controller, it can regulate the lights according to the temperature difference between the plants and the air to make sure that the VPD level is at the ideal range.

Setting up the camera is simple - it plugs directly into the Maxi Controller. We recommend attaching it to a suitable place facing the plants at 45° degrees.

The camera will cover an area equal to the distance. For example, if it's 40 cm from the plants, it will scan 40 cm².
